ATTENZIONE! The Cape Fear Italian Festival is coming in September! Click here for information. There will be NO monthly meeting for the months of July and August at the Covenant Moravian Chruch (located at 4126 So. College Rd). Our May 17th meeting is our picnic at Empie Park and will be catered by "Hamburger Joe's". The same as May 2008. Bocce played as alway! Our Purpose:
The Purpose of the IHS is to promote the rich diversity of Italian heritage and culture by:
-Sharing them with others.
-Educating people to the contributions of Italians in society.
-Providing fellowship.
-Improving the knowledge about Italian History, language and customs.
Our Goals:
The goals of the IHS are to:
-Cultivate opportunities to work with the youth of the communities.
-Gain knowledge regarding Italian history and culture through the lineages represented in the IHS.
-Cultivate fellowship within the IHS through social activities.
-Provide a community presence through outreach activities and events
by having literary, artistic and other resources available to the community.
